Method, size & type of implants
Pectoral implantation is accomplished by inserting a silicone implant under the chest muscles. The shape and size of the chest prior to surgery will influence both the recommended treatment and the final results. If the chest muscles are not the same size or shape before surgery, it is unlikely that they will be completely symmetrical afterward. Incisions are made to keep scars as inconspicuous as possible. The method of inserting and positioning implants will depend on your preferences, your anatomy and Dr. Zevon’s recommendation. Dr. Zevon will discuss the size and style of your implants with you, and together you will select the implant to be used.
Alternative treatment
Pectoral implantation is an elective surgical operation. Alternative treatment would consist of the use of external prostheses or padding.
