Procedure: Mastopexy
Incision: Vertical Technique
About this patient: This 27 year old, 5′ 5″, 123 pound Caucasian-American female patient presented with bilateral mammary sagging (ptosis). An vertical-T mastopexy (breastlift) was performed. In an vertical-T mastopexy, the incisions are around the areola, continuing down vertically on the skin of the breast and into the inframammary crease (the crease below the breast.) After surgery, the breast width is narrowed and the position of the areola on the breast is more aesthetic, pointing directly outward not downward.
