About this patient:This 37-year-old, 5-foot 3-inch, 125-pound female patient presented with localized fat deposits of the hips, inner (medial) and outer (lateral) thighs extending down to the knees. She had a pear-shaped body with disproportionate fat deposits in the lower body. Ultrasonic-assisted and standard liposuction were performed to achieve contouring of the hips and legs, including knees. A total of 3750 cc of aspirate was obtained. After surgery, the patient had narrower hips, buttocks, and thighs, with no “saddlebag” bulge, a more shapely lower body contour, and a more proportionate and balanced upper and lower body.
